News about Pegram . . .
Pegram has been moved from Henrico Doctors Hospital to The Laurel at University Park, for physical rehabilitation. The address in Richmond is 2420 Pemberton Road and his room number is 603.
Matt reports that he's eating much better and they're hopeful that the rehab will get him back on his feet again so he'll be able to go home. All the testing they did during his two weeks in the hospital did not uncover the cause of his recent illness, but on the bright side, it did rule out things like cancer and kidney problems.

A Prayer for Pegram
O Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need: We humbly beseech thee to behold, visit, and relieve thy sick servant Pegram for whom our prayers are desired. Look upon him with the eyes of thy mercy; comfort him with a sense of thy goodness; preserve him from the temptations of the enemy; and give him patience under his affliction. In thy good time, restore him to health, and enable him to lead the residue of his life in thy fear, and to thy glory; and grant that finally he may dwell with thee in life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer, 458)
A Message from Pegram,
from our Sunday bulletin, February 21, 2010
I looked at my St. Asaph's file and noted that my contract with Bishop Lee was signed in February of 2002. Eight years. As the saying goes, "My how the time flies when you are having fun!" And I did have fun, and I hope you did too. I have always felt that church needn't be so dreadfully dreary as it sometimes is. "O be joyful in the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with a song." In the last months I have particularly enjoyed the additional use of Lift Every Voice and Sing II with its heightened variety of music to enrich our worship. I have enjoyed a whole range of worship experiences from singing the Gospel one Christmas Eve to the Seder Suppers and pet blessings and pancake suppers and pig and chicken roasts. Leaving is naturally a bittersweet occasion but under the circumstances of my failing health it is the right thing to do. Remember that a call and a card are always appreciated. God willing, my health will eventually improve. And I eventally look forward to riding through the "Access for Everyone" entrance. John Nunnally is a Senior Warden who will serve you well.
