Episcopal Church Women continue toffee tradition!
The women of St. Asaph's have been making some of the best toffee around since the early 1980's. The tradition started when Dotty Shockey attended a Christmas Party for Navy officer wives in Norfolk and won the door prize which was English toffee. It was so wonderful that she asked for the recipe. She shared this recipe with our then-ECW president, Carolyn Mason, and plans to make it developed. Everyone loved our English toffee!
Thirty years later, this English Toffee is still requested by many in the church and community. It still provides a way for women to come together for fellowship and fundraising. Today, the money raised goes to "Women and Children in Crisis," "Access for Everyone" building fund, and local community needs.
